HostExplorer can be used as Internet or Network scanner. There are some features like geoip and whois that are intended to query internet hosts only. Other ones like port scanner, ping and trace root can be used in both internet and local networks.

Host Explorer is an application created for network administrators who want a fast way to query host information on Internet or Local Network.

It provides 5 search engines that works in parallel processing mode to speed up searches.

Host Explorer provides 5 network queries:

* ICMP Ping.
* Port Scan:
Regular scan: traditional TCP scan.
Quick scan: traditional TCP scan with speed improvements.
* Trace route.
* WhoIs query.
* GeoIP Lookup: Locate coordinates of an internet host and show it in Maps.

It generates PDF reports that can be send via email and reports can be compressed or not.
